Easy come, easy go

Apparently lots of Twitter users have closed their fake accounts ahead of Musk pledging to be sure that it is a real human at the keyboard. And when they do so, the people they follow, their "leaders", lose followers even faster than if it were just a single account. It's true that lots of these people have dozens of fake accounts, to drive up the numbers as well as having something to fall back on in case they get banned. This model is the same they used when they voted multiple times in the 2020 election, I am told.
